Acerca de este curso

This unit covers the standard phrases a vessel and a VTS centre use to exchange the data needed for a traffic image. It follows the IMO SMCP phrases for External Communications in three areas:

  • Vessel identity — name, call sign, spelling of the name and flag state, and the message marker INTENTION for your own next action.
  • Position and movement — position, direction of approach, present course and speed, and full speed.
  • Voyage and cargo data — destination, last port of call, ETA and ETD in UTC, draft, freeboard, air draft, underway status, cargo and dangerous goods.
